World First | Drones and aircraft performing together

In a historic fusion of aviation and artistry

In a historic fusion of aviation and artistry, the 2023 Dubai World Cup closing ceremony at Meydan Racecourse unveiled a world-first performance that captivated audiences worldwide. The spectacle featured a synchronised display of 2,000 drones, aerobatic aircraft, pyrotechnics, lasers and digital media orchestrated by the creative agency Artists in Motion.

Aerosparx piloted two motor gliders, weaving through the night sky alongside the drone swarm. This unprecedented coordination was made possible by Dronisos' innovative technology, which ensured real-time tracking and safety, allowing aircraft to fly within 20 meters of the drones without incident.

The ten-minute performance was a culmination of years of planning and training, including multiple rehearsals and the development of detailed 3D models to simulate the complex choreography. The result was a harmonious blend of technology and human skill, marking a new era in aerial entertainment.

This groundbreaking event not only set new standards for live performances but also opened the door for future collaborations between manned aircraft and drone swarms, promising even more spectacular displays in the years to come
